First of all, thank you for the sweet comments left on my blog. You all inspire me and lift me up. (Well, most of you anyway. Some comments just don't get published and that's the truth.)
Anyway, yesterday was great! Church was good. Tear down (remember, we meet in a high school) was quick. We took Chuck's parents out to lunch at Chili's and I got to have one of my favorite salads. This is the first Mother's Day in years that we've actually spent with one of our Moms.
Chuck got me flowers and a new Dustbuster (I asked for it, really! And I'm super excited about it, too.) (My old one was literally taped together.) and an iTunes gift card.
I took a looooooooooong nap. It was rainy yesterday so it was perfect napping weather. Gracie, my favorite cat, totally snuggled with me for the entire nap. Even when I woke up she wasn't ready to quit snuggling. I love that!
And best of all - the Survivor season finale was on last night. I'm still in shock that Parvati won.
All in all, it was a great day. Not once was I sucked into self pity. Yay!

Yay...glad you had a good day!
Survivor Finale???? What happened??!?!? Why on earth did she win!?!? BARF! I am still brewing about that one. I was so utterly disappointed. I even blogged about it today too! What did you think of Oz's speech...Whoa (think Joey Lawrence from Blossom--Whoa!) Anyway...what a man of intensity...I think that was my favorite part of the entire night! :)
It looks like a new season of American Gladiator starts tonight!
Hope your own little gladiators are home very soon : ) Visas seem to be going faster. Now if you can just get out of MOI.
Laura, Okay so I thought I was the only person left who still watches Survivor...I knew I liked you!! Yeah, what an upset for Amanda 2 seasons in a row. I really thought she had it. Ozzy's speech made me totally laugh. I mean, come on, it's a game for a million dollars. It's not the first time someone did what Parvati did!!
I knew I liked you too! ;)
I loved what Oz had to say to Amanda though...I don't think she was anticipating that at all. I thought it was a better moment than Rob and Amber's by far. (I'm a sucker for love!)
What the honk was up with Natalie's question anyway!?!? And then Parv's response with a wink...ewwwww!
Amanda played a stellar game on both seasons and ended up short. Why is it the evil ones always win!?!?
Oh and I liked what Eric had to say about getting to the end..."it wouldn't have been good for him to go any farther because it's just not in him to be that mean." He was a good kid!
Yeah, Natalie's question was just gross and uneccessary. Yuck.
I loved how long the crowd clapped when Eric said what he did. He may be the dumbest Survivor ever, but at least he has some standards to live by.
I think what killed Amanda was the performance she gave the night she had the hidden immunity idol. She may have played the game honestly, but that performance gave the jury a look at what she's capable of.
Maybe it was Parvati's wink that got her that vote. That is just gross!!
