He ha...We have had this with one of our boys, Owen. He had (still, slightly) an EXTREME fear of dogs-- specifically it manifested with the dog next door (the dog of our neighbors). I never figured out any magic solution (although I wracked my brain about it). We just dealt with it over and over and over. He'd scream, shake, terrified, every time he even saw or heard that dog. He wouldn't play outside for a long stretch of weeks/months for fear of that dog. It was AWFUL. I totally can't even imagine trying to LIVE with a dog through that. I don't have any advice, other than to just hug him and reassure him every single time, and try to have patience (so much easier said than done, I know!), and hopefully-- like Owen-- it will gradually start to pass. At this point Owen is still not comfortable, but is not terrified either. I'll be thinking of you with this.
Also have been thinking of you with the earthquake...
lots of love,
HeatherHeatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05046870363509253257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36265035.post-90706014782297915032010-01-05T14:05:45.182-05:002010-01-05T14:05:45.182-05:00We have dealt with other fears, but not dogs.
I ...We have dealt with other fears, but not dogs.

I can say that there is no magic solution. It just eventually goes away.

Does Samuel like the dog? Maybe if he sees Samuel loving on the dog he will be okay with it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36265035.post-60637958238099092312010-01-01T16:53:13.685-05:002010-01-01T16:53:13.685-05:00How is Noah doing now?
